POST FALLS,
IDAHO – Spokane Street Stock driver Randy Lasswell will have two
opportunities to test his skills against the Northwest Outlaw Street
Stock Series at Stateline Speedway in the 2007 season. Stateline
Speedway announced today the popular traveling series will return for
two races next season.
Lasswell, winner of the fall Outlaw race in 2006, will be one of many
locals to take the challenge on June 30, 2007 and August 11, 2007
against the NWOSS line-up of drivers.
Joe Doellefeld, Stateline Speedway Promoter says the Northwest Outlaw
Street Stock Series provides an avenue for local drivers to compete at
their home track against other regional drivers. Doellefeld adds that
the consistent rules and affordability of the series presents
side-by-side racing for the fans.
At the beginning of the 2006 season, Stateline Speedway’s rules for
local Street Stocks aligned with the NWOSS construction rules. With the
only variation for tires, Stateline Speedway point races used a 10-inch
grooved, Goodyear slick and not the Outlaw Street Stock Series tire.
Common rules among other area tracks, based on the series, allow local
drivers to compete at different facilities on their free nights.
Mike Press won the spring race. Northwest Outlaw Street Stock drivers
include two-time defending champion Dave Lund of Arlington, Washington,
Brad Borton and Bryan Bykerk. Randy Lasswell, Aaron Nevers, Rich
Bruechet, Darryl Carillio, and Nathan Fleury of Spokane lead the local
contingent of competitors.
“The Outlaw Series has been a blessing to have as a promoter,”
Doellefeld said. “The show and the officials have always been a pleasure
to work with.”
