September 28, 2006 ( Yakima , WA ) “ Three-time NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division North West Series Champion Jeff Jefferson is set to tackle the famed Fall Classic this weekend at the Yakima Speedway (WA). The Fall Classic is the end of the year event that attracts cars from all over the region and the west coast to compete at Jefferson 's home track.

Jeff Jefferson will be competing in the Ron Bemis owned Late Model car sponsored by Magic Metals. "I can't thank Ron enough for the opportunity to drive his car this weekend. The Classic is one of those events that I grew up as a kid wanting to win and this could very well be the opportunity to do that's, commented Jefferson . "Magic Metals was able to put together a program to make it possible for us to run this event and we really feel as though we're set up for success."

Ron Bemis, a veteran driver in his own right, has had Jefferson drive his car previously and they have developed a strong working relationship. "I am honored to be able to work with a driver of Jeff Jefferson's caliber. He truly represents all that is good in this sport and like most people in the North West I would like to see big things for him (Jefferson) in the future."

It has been a somewhat quiet year for the Washington driver that began the year as a three-time defending NW Tour Champion. But when Jefferson received the opportunity to showcase his talent, he made the most of it. Winning the Montana 200 in Kalispell , Montana and followed that up with another top-five finish at the Miller 200 at South Sound Speedway in Tenino , Washington . In July, the 34 year old competed in the NASCAR Grand National West Series race at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe , Washington , finishing fourth.

"We are really trying to use this race to build some momentum for a strong 2007," said Jefferson . "We are working on some very exciting west coast opportunities for next year and while we may have only run limitedly this year, we were able to run hard, win races and represent the team and sponsors well."
