Defending NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Northwest Series
champion Jeff Jefferson will make his debut tonight in the
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in the Black Cat Fireworks 200 at
the Milwaukee (Wisc.) Mile.
Jefferson, a native of Naches, Wash., will drive the No. 48
James Western Star Sterling Dodge for the event that will air
live on SPEED Channel at 6:00 pm PDT. James Hylton owns the
South Carolina-based team for which Jefferson will compete. "I
am really excited about the opportunity," said Jefferson just
prior to the first practice session for the event. "It's great
experience and exposure for me as a driver."
Hylton, a former NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series competitor won the
1966 Raybestos Rookie of the Year Award.
Jefferson will return to Washington for the Evergreen 125 at
Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Wash. tomorrow night and compete
in his familiar No. 42 Morgan Transport/Gary Mears Trucking
