ROCKLIN, California -- Jeff
Jefferson will be the driver of the #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS
Chevrolet for the "NAPA 150" on June 21st at the Tri-City
Raceway in Benton City, Washington. Jefferson is currently in
3rd place in the NASCAR Elite Division, Raybestos Northwest
Series and makes his first appearance in the NASCAR Grand
National Division, Winston West Series for 2003.
Jefferson placed 2nd earlier this year at the Tri-City Raceway
driving in the Raybestos Northwest Series and looks to better
that driving the #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Chevrolet NASCAR Winston
West car by recording a win for Bill McAnally Racing.
"This is the best opportunity I have ever had," said Jefferson.
"My confidence level is sky high with this team. I've been
working with crew chief, Doug George, and the team. We really
get along well together but I will be in the seat only as long
as it takes for Austin Cameron to return. I know he has had a
lot of success in the #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Chevrolet. I look to
continue what they started by putting this car up front."
"I've known my teammate, Jim Inglebright for awhile," continued
Jefferson. "He's a really good guy. I've gotten some great
information from him concerning the Winston West car."
"The track at Tri-City is really a driver's track. It's fast and
fun. It's one of my favorite places to race. The fans are really
great there. I do want to thank Bill McAnally and the BMR team
for this opportunity and I look forward to meeting the NAPA fans
at the upcoming events."
The "NAPA 150" for the NASCAR Grand National Division, Winston
West Series will be held Saturday, June 21st at Tri-City Raceway
in Benton City, Washington with racing to begin at 7 pm with the
NASCAR Mini-Stocks.
