INSCA Tries Again to Start Season

May 23, 2007 ( Spokane , WA ) – After one false start due to mother-nature, the exciting winged sprint cars of the Inland Northwest Sprint Car Association (INSCA) brought to you by Mission Foods, will try once more to start their 2007 season this Saturday night, May 26, at the Stateline Speedway in Post Falls , Idaho .

At the scheduled season opening event on May 12th, many-time NSRA Champion “Quick Rick” Brown swooped in and set a blistering New Track Record during qualifying with a 12.1 second lap around the quarter-mile raceway. Brown also put on a great show during the A trophy dash with a huge tire smoking effort closing quickly on race winner, Kevin Burke, but ultimately finishing second. The B trophy dash saw Spokane ’s Justin Popple come from the fourth starting position and capture the first actual race win of 2007.

The rains came shortly thereafter and now the INSCA cars are locked and loaded for this Saturday’s event. On the expected entry list include the names of three past champions of the series, Kevin Burke, Dave Hill and Mark Jones.

“This series is growing and 2007 promises to be a banner year for the INSCA group,” said series President, Ron Turner. “Even with the inclement weather of the first race we had a strong group of cars in attendance and this weekend should draw some more high-caliber race teams from around the Northwest with a guaranteed $1000 to win.”

If you’ve never seen the winged sprint cars race on this fast quarter-mile, you’re missing out. Come cheer on your favorite driver’s of the INSCA this Saturday night at the Stateline Speedway in
Post Falls , Idaho . Qualifying will begin at 6 p.m. with racing at 7:30.
