Spokane,
WA (4/29/08) – The Inland Northwest Sprint Car Association (INSCA) will try
once again to kick off the 2008 season this Saturday night at the Stateline
Speedway in Post Falls, Idaho.
After
being snowed out two weeks ago the fire-breathing action of the winged sprint
cars hope to return under the lights with a full field expected. Past INSCA
series regular Ricky Nelson will be back after a one-year hiatus, as well as
other teams from around the region including Canada .
“Other
commitments kept me away from racing last season and like most racers, it hurt
to sit idle,” commented Nelson, “but the INSCA club made strides last season
and I am very excited about getting back on the track this weekend in our Park
Model Homes #43 sprint car.”
Another
team that is ready to rock and roll for the 2008 season is the #65 Inland
Northwest Consultants entry driven by Kevin Burck and owned by longtime team
owner and current INSCA board member, Red Perkins of St. Maries, Idaho. Perkins
had this to share, “I am very pleased with the direction this INSCA Sprint
Club is going and proud to be a part of this race community. I feel with
our common sense rules package, organized pre-race tech standards and our
dedicated club members, 2008 will once again be a great growth year for the
INSCA regional sprint racing series.” As a many time Champion car owner, the
Red Perkins #65 sprint car, with team members Critter, Reven, Mikie and Tommy,
is well prepared to once again provide the race fans the excitement on race day
that they have come to expect.
Qualifying
will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday May, 3rd at the Stateline Speedway in
Post Falls , Idaho . For more information about the Inland Northwest Sprint Car
